Remember---you don't have to be an IMAA member to join our club but you do have to be an IMAA member to fly in our annual Jumbo Jamboree Fly-In. Show & Tell:

At the December meeting Robert Slayton brought in his Kondor Model Products (KMP) B-25. It is powered by two OS 91 4 stroke engines. As usual beautiful craftsmanship.

At the January meeting Glen Gill brought in his "Cessna 337" Twin. He created the fuselage from his own drawings and incorporated the wing from an "Astro Hog". Front engine is a K&B 28 2 stroke, and the rear engine is a Thunder Tiger 25. Gill used a servos each for each rudder and another servo for the nose gear.

The following are the clubs' trainers' extraordinaire of which at any time the weather is good you can usually find at least one of them at the flying field. Bring your own airplane and a desire to learn and you will solo...eventually (AMA insurance and Jackson County RC Permit is required).

The 49th Squadron shares this Jackson County owned airfield with the Kansas City Radio Control (KCRC) club. The Charles W. Reed III RC Airfield consists of a 500 foot long by 50 foot wide, asphalt-paved runway with an adjacent 25 foot wide grass runway on the east side. Both clubs also share duties to help maintain the field along with the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department. Low safety fencing protects the pilots who can stand on concrete pads.[Map showing the RC Airfield--created with MS Streets 98]
