49th Squadron "Military Fly-In" - July 9, 2005

It was a beautiful day for the 49th Squadron's First Annual Military (Warbird) Fly-In. Jay Crowley was our CD with Bob Slaton running the PA. We had P-51 Mustangs, Stearmans, Spitfires, Bearcats, Zero's, Eindeckers, B-26 twin engine bombers, Triplanes, Sopwith Camels...it was great! We thank all those who attended and brought their warbirds. More photos forthcoming.

Beautiful day for a fly-in!

Lots of activity---registration, impound, raffle ticket sales.

German "Stik" and P-40 mix it up?

Noon time line up -- many beautiful warbirds..

Beautiful Fokker DR-1 Triplane...pilot was excellent flying it in a scale-like manner.

Highly detailed cockpit interior of a Japanese "Zero"

Another example of some of the craftsmanship. Randial engine cylinders were made from putting two cylinder kits together. Fly's great!

Bob Tede's "Rare Bear" lost fight with the ground. Bob was good sport in displaying his re-kitted plane on the flightline. Sorry Bob.

Bob Slaton's twin engine, A-26 Maurader.
